    ٩٩١ - اشقتمر الماردينى ولى نيابة حلب فى سنة ٧٦٥ حين قتل الاشرف بعد قطلبغا (¬١) الاحمدى فباشرها سنة ونصفا ثم ولى نيابة حلب سنة ٧٧١ بعد قشتمر الناصرى ثم ولى نيابة طرابلس ثم عاد لحلب مرتين ثم ولى نيابة دمشق ثم عزل فاقام بحلب بطالا الى ان مات وكان شهما شجاعا عارفا بالتدبير وهو الذى فتح سيس سنة ٧٧٦ واكثر الشعراء مدحه بسببها فمن ذلك قول ابى بكر بن زين الدين ابن الوردى * يا سيد الامراء فتحك سيسا … سر المسيح واحزن القسيسا للّه درك من مليك عارف … ضحك الزمان به وكان عبوسا مات … (¬٢) *
