    ٩٣٩ - إسماعيل بن على بن الحسن بن سعيد بن صالح القلقشندى ثم المصرى نزيل القدس تقى الدين ولد سنة ٧٠٢ بمصر وحفظ القرآن ومختصرات فى العلوم وسمع من روزبه (¬٣) والحجار وغيرهما ورحل الى دمشق فأخذ عن الفخر المصرى واذن له وتفقه بالديار المصرية ثم تحول فسكن بيت المقدس وبرع فأخذ عنه الحسبانى والغزى وغيرهما وتصدر لنشر العلم فدرس وافتى وشغل الى ان صار اوحد عصره وصاهر العلائى على ابنته وكان يرجع اليه فى نقل المذهب لانه كان يستحضر الروضة وكان خيرا اديبا (¬٤) ومات فى السادس من جمادى الآخرة سنة ٧٧٨ سمع منه ابو حامد بن ظهيرة وانجب ولده شيخنا شمس الدين محمد بن تقى الدين فسلك مسلكه الى ان مات *
