    ٨٨٤ - ازدمر الكاشف الاعمى عزّ الدين مملوك الياس تقدم فى الخدم السلطانية وتوجه الى اليمن وولى البهنسا وغيرها وكان الناصر يثنى عليه ثم ولاه الكشف بالوجه القبلى ثم البحرى وطالت ايامه وكان سفاكا للدماء كثير الايقاع بالمفسدين وعمى فى سنة ٧٤٢ واستمر يخفى عماه ويستمر على ذلك يحكم ولا يشعر به احد الى ان فشا امره فبطل وكانيقول الشعر ويحفظ مقامات الحريرى وكثيرا من الشعر (¬١) *
