٦٥٨ - احمد بن محمد بن ابى بكر بن مكى بن مسلم بن ابى الجوف (¬٣) المصرى المعروف بالعكوك تعانى الآداب فمهر فيها وجمع مجاميع كثيرة يقتصر فيها على المقطعات وكان يحفظ للمتأخرين ما لا يدخل تحت الوصف وله وقف يحصل منه فى الصيف ما يتبلغ به فى الشتاء ويصيف غالبا فى الشام ويشتى بمصر الا انه غلبت عليه محبة الحشيشة وهى محنة خسيسة وقدر انه مات فى الطاعون فى رجب سنة ٧٤٩ بدمشق *ومن شعره ناظر الجامع الكبير ظلوم اذا اقتدر ابله رب بالعمى * وارحه من النظر وله قلت له اذ بدا وطلعته … قد اشرقت فوق قامة تامه هب لى مناما (¬١) فقال كيف وقد … رأيت شمس الضحى على قامه
