٥٧٥ - احمد بن على بن يوسف بن محمد بن عبد اللّه المصرى ثم الدمشقى المعروف بابن المهتار امام مسجد الرأس عند باب الفراديس ولد سنة ٧٠٥ وسمع على الحجار جزء ابى الجهم واربعين الآجرى وحدث وكان قد حفظ كتابا فى مذهب الشافعى وتنزل (¬١) بالمدارس ونسخ الروضة وكان يشهد تحت الساعات ومات فى العشر الاخير من ربيع الآخر سنة ٧٧١ وعمه محمد بن يوسف هو راوى علوم الحديث بسماعه من مصنفه ابن الصلاح فكان آخر من حدث به عنه *
