٤١٤ - احمد بن عبد الرحمن بن احمد بن محمد بن عبيد الاشهرى المنبجى المزى خطيب المزة شهاب الدين ولد سنة ٦٦٥ فى رمضان وسمع من المسلم بن علان والمقداد القيسى والفخر على وزينب بنت مكى فى آخرين ذكره البرزالى فقال فقيه فاضل له همة وتحصيل ومحفوظ حفظ ايام خطابته الخطب النباتية وتلا بالسبع على العصائى وكان له ثبت وخرج له البرزالى مشيخة وحدث مات فى ثامن ربيع الاول ٧٤٦ وهو والد المسند محمد بن احمد بن عبد الرحمن المزى *
