    ٢٨٤٠ - ت ق: الصَّلْتِ بن دِينَار أبو شعَيْب الأَزْدِيّ الهُنَائِيّ البَصْرِيّ،ويُعْرَف بالمَجْنُون. عن عبد الله بن شَقِيق العُقَيْلِيّ، وعِكْرمة، والحَسَن، وأبي عثمان النَّهْدِيّ، وأبي نَضْرة - بِالنُّون والضَّاد المْعْجمة العَبْدِيّ، وعَطَاء بن أبي رَبَاح وجماعة. وعنه وَكِيع، وأبو داود الطَّيَالسِيّ، ومكِّي بن إبراهيم وخلق. قاله أحمد: تركوا حديثه. وقال ابن مَعِين: ليس بشيء. وقال أبو حاتم: مُضْطرب الحديث (¬١). وقال "س": ليس بثقة. وقال ابن عَدِيّ: عامَّة ما يرويه لا يُتَابَع عليه (¬٢). ذكره في الميزان، فقال: بصري لَيِّنٌ، ثم ذكر كلام الناس فيه، قيل: مات قريبًا من سنة (١٦٠).
