    ٢٦٨٩ - م د س ق: شَرِيد -بفتح الشين المُعْجَمة، وكسر الرَّاء الخَفِيفَة، والباقي مَعْروف- بن سُوَيْد الثَّقَفِيّ. له صُحْبَةٌ، قيل: إنَّه من حضرموت، فَحَالف ثَقِيفًا، ويُقَال: من هَمْدَان -بإسكان الميم وبالدَّال المهملة، شَهِد الحُدَيبيّة. رَوَى عنه عَمْرو بن دِينار قال: استَنْشَدني النبي ﷺ من شعر أُمَيَّة بن أبي الصَّلْت، وعنه أيضًا أبو سَلَمة بن عبد الرحمن، ويَعْقُوب بن عَاصِم الثَّقَفِيّ، وعَمْرو بن شَرِيد ابنه وغيرهم ﵃.
