    ٢٦٤٠ - د سي: سَيْف شامِيٌّ - بالشين المعجمة. عن عَوْف بن مالك مَرْفُوعًا "إذا غَلَبَك أمر فقل: حَسْبِيَ الله ونِعْم الوكيل (¬٣) ".وعنه خَالدِ بن مَعْدان. ذكره ابن حِبَّان في الثقات كما رأيته فيها، ولم يذكر عنه راويًا سوى خالد بن مَعْدان. وذكره أحمد العِجْلِيّ في ثقاته، فقال: سَيْف روى عنه خالد بن مَعْدان شامِيٌّ تابعيٌّ ثقة. ذكره في الميزان، فقال: لا يُعْرَف، تَفَرَّد عنه خَالِد بن مَعْدان انتهى.
