    ٢٦٣٥ - س: سَيْف بن عُبَيد الله الجَرْمِيّ البَصْريّ أبو الحَسَن السَّرَّاج. عن الأَسْوَد بن شَيْبَان، وسرَّار - بفتح السين المهملة، وتشْديد الرَّاء الأُولَى - بن مجُشِّر - بفتح الجيم وكسر الشين المُعجمة المُشَدَّدَة، وقد قَدَّمت ضَبْطَه، وضبط سرَّار في مكانه (¬١)، وشُعْبَة، والمَسْعُودِيّ وجماعة. وعنه عَمْرو بن عَليّ الفَلَّاس - وقال: كان من خيار الخلق - وعَمْرو بن يزيد الجَرْميّ - وقال ثقة -، وإسحاق بن سَيَّار النَّصِيبيّ وجماعة. ذكره ابن حِبَّان في الثقات، وقال: رُبمَّا خالف.
