٢٥١٨ - سي ق: سُلَيمان بن عَلِيّ بن عبد الله بن عَبَّاس الأمير أبو محمد الهَاشِميّ العَبَّاسي أمير البَصْرة لابن أخيه المَنْصُور. رَوَى عن أبيه، وعِكْرمَة، وأبي بُرْدَة بن أبي موسى. وعنه ابناه جَعْفَر، ومحمد، وزيد بن عبد الحَمِيد العَدَوِيّ، وعافية بن [يزيد] (¬١) القاضي، وبنته زَيْنَب بنت سُلَيمان وجماعة. ذكره ابن حِبَّان في الثقات. قال أبو زُرْعَة الدِّمشقِيّ: كان جَوَادًا مُمَدَّحًا كريمًا، ثم قال: قيل: إنَّه كان يُعْتق في كل موسم عَشِيَّة عَرَفَة مائة نسمة، وبَلغَت صِلاتُه في الموسم وقُريش والأنصار وغيرهم خمسة آلاف ألْف (¬٢). توفي بالبصرة في جمادى الآخرة سنة (١٤٢) وقد شَارَف ستينسَنَةً.
