    ٢٣٢٥ - ع: سَعِيد بن مَسْرُوق أبو سُفْيان الثَّوْرِيّ الكوفيّ. عن أبي وائل، وخَيْثَمة بن عبد الرحمن، والشَّعْبِيّ، وعبَايَة بن رِفَاعَة وجماعة. وعنه الأعْمَش، وشُعْبَة، وزائدة، وابناه سُفْيَان بن سَعِيد، ومُبَارَك بن سَعِيد وأبو عَوَانَة وخلق. وَثَّقَهُ أبو نُعَيْم، وأبُو حاتم. قال ابن أبي عاصم: مات سنة (١٢٦ هـ). ذكره ابن حِبَّان في الثقات، وأرَّخ وفاته بسنة (١٢٨ هـ).
