    ٢١٣٤ - خت، م، ٤: سَبْرَة بن مَعْبَد، ويُقال: ابن عَوْسَجَة الجُهَنِيّ المَدَنِيّ. لهُ صحبَة، ورواية، كُنيتهُ أبو ثُرَيَّة - بِضمِّ الثَّاء المثلثة، وفتح الرَّاء، ثم مُثَنَّاة تحت مفتوحة ثم تاء التَّأنيث، وبعضهم قال: ثَرِيَّة - بفتح الثاء (¬١)، والباقي معروف، والصَّواب ضمُّهَا. روى عنه ابنه الرَّبيع بن سَبْرَة، نَزَلَ ذَا المَرْوَة في آخر عمره، تُوفِّي في آخر خلافة معاوية، ذكر في بئر ثمُود (¬٢).
