    ٢٠٢٤ - م، د، س: زياد بن فَيَّاض الخُزَاعِيّ الكوفيّ أبو الحسن. عن خَيْثَمَة بن عبد الرحمن، وسعيد بن جُبَيْر وغيرهما. وعنه الأعمش، والثوريّ، وشُعْبة وشَرَيك وجماعة. وثَّقَه أبو حاتم وغيره (¬٢). روى أبو أحمد الزُّبَيري عن سُفْيان قال: كنتُ إذا رأيت زياد بن فَيَّاض كأنّه نُشِر من قبر، قيل: مات سنة (١٢٩).له في الكُتُب حديثان، أحدهما في صوم يومٍ ويومٍ (¬١)، والثَّاني: في اجتناب المُسكِر (¬٢). ذكره ابن حِبَّان في الثقات، وأرَّخ وفائه كما ذكرت. وذكره أحمد العِجْلِيّ في ثقاته أيضًا. زياد بن فَيْروز أبو العَالِية البَرَاء في الكنى.
