    ١٧٢٢ - د، ق: داود بن جَمِيل - بفتح الجيم، وكسر الميم، وبعضهم يقول: الوليد بن جَمِيل. عن كَثِير بن قَيْس. وعنه عاصم بن رَجَاء بن حَيْوة. ذكره ابن حِبَّان في الثقات، وحديثُه مضطرب.ذكره في الميزان، فقال: وبعضهم يقول: الوَلِيد بن جَمِيل، عن كثير بن قيس، عن أبي الدَّردَاء بخبر "من سَلَك فَطَلَب عِلمًا" (¬١)، وعنه عاصم بن رجاء بن حَيوَة، حديثه مضطرب، وضَعَّفَه الأزْديّ، وأمّا ابن حِبَّان فذكره في الثقات، وداود لا يعرف كشيخه، وقال الدَّارقُطنِي في العلل: عاصم ومن فوقه ضعفاء، ولا يصح (¬٢) انتهى.
