١٥٣٥ - د، س، ق: حَوْشَب بن عَقِيل - بفتح العين، وكسر القاف - الجَرْمِيّ وقيل: العبدي البصري، أبو دحية - بفتح الدال وكسرها -. عن أبيه، ومهدي الهجري، والحسن، وبكر بن عبد الله، وقتادة. وعنه ابن مهدي، وأبو داود الطيالسي، وسليمان بن حرب، وجماعة. وثقه أحمد، والنسائي (¬٣)، له حديث عن مهدي المذكور، ذكره ابنحبان في الثقات مرتين. وذكوه في الميزان، وذكر توثيق أحمد، و"س" له، ثم قال: وضعّفه الأزدي، والله أعلم.
