١٥٠٠ - ع: حُمَيد - كالذي قبله - بن عبد الرحمن الرُّوَاسِيّ أبو علي، وأبو عوف الكوفي. عن إسماعيل بن أبي خالد، والأعمش، وهشام بن عروة، وطائفة وعنه أحمد، وقُتيبة، وأبو بكر وعثمان بن أبي شيبة، وعلي بن حرب وطائفة. وثقه ابن معين، وقال أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة: قل من رأيت مثله، ذكره ابن حبان في الثقات، وقال: مات في آخر سنة (١٨٩) وقد قيل سنة (١٩٢). انتهى.وقال محمد بن عبد الله بن نمير - وهو ممن روى عنه -: مات سنة (١٩٠).
