١٣٨٠ - خ، د س: حفص بن عمر بن الحارث بن سَخْبَرة الأزديّ النَّمَرِيّ البصري، أبو عُمر الحَوْضِيّ. عن هِشَام الدَّسْتوائيّ، وشُعْبة، وأبي حُرَّة واصل، وهمّام، وطبقتهم. وعنه "خ، د" وإبراهيم الجُوْزَجَاني، ويعقوب الفَسَوِيّ، وأبو مسلم الكَجِّيّ، والفضل بن حُبَاب الجُمَحِي، وخلق كثير. قال أحمد بن حنبل: ثبت متقن لا يؤخذ عليه، متقن أعرابيفصيح (¬١). ذكره في الميزان تمييزًا، وذكر فيه أنه لا يؤخذ عليه حرف (¬٢)، ولم يعزه لأحد، مات في جمادى الآخرة سنة (٢٢٥)، ذكره ابن حبان في الثقات، وقال: مات سنة، فأرّخ كما أرختُه قبل.
