    ١٢٢٢ - ق: الحسن بن سُهَيْل بن عبد الرحمن بن عَوْف.عن ابن عمر. وعنه يزيد بن أبي زياد. وثقه ابن حبان كما رأيتُه فيها (¬١)، ولم يذكر عنه راويًا سوى يزيد بن أبي زياد. ذكره في الميزان، وقال: ما علمتُ روى عنه غير يزيد بن أبي زياد الكوفي، لكن ذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. انتهى، وقد تقدم أنه لا تزول عن الشخص جهالة العين حتى يروي عنه عدلان، وذكرتُ فيما مضى عن اختيار أبي الحسن بن القطان أن الشخص إذا روى عنه واحد، ووثقه آخر انتفت عنه جهالة العين، وذكرت أن هذا قول في المسألة من أقوال (¬٢)، والله أعلم.
