٨٣٨ - ق: ثابت بن الصامت الأنصاريّ الأشهليّ والد عبد الرحمن. حديثه مُضطربٌ، وقيل: مات ثابت في الجاهلية، وإنّما الصحبة لابنه ذكره ابن حِبّان في الثقات، ولَفْظُة: ثابت بن الصَّامت الأشهليّ أبو عبد الرحمن، يُقال: إنّ له صحبة، ولكن في إسناده ابن أبي حبيبةالأشهليّ انتهى. وذكره أبو عُمر في الاستيعاب، هو كما ذكرته قبل كلام ابن حِبَّان، وفي تجريد الذَّهبيّ: ثابت بن الصامت، يُقال: هو أخو عُبادة بن الصامت، ولم يصحّ، فإنّ هذا أشهليٌّ، مُختلف في صُحبته (¬١). انتهى.
