    ٦١٠ - سي ق: أوسط بن إسماعيل، ويقال: ابن عامر، ويُقال: ابن عمرو البجليّ الحِمصيّ. أدرك زمان النبيّ ﷺ، وقال شيخنا العراقيّ: إنه مُخضرم، روى عن أبي بكر وعمر ﵄ (¬٣). وعنه سُليم - بضم السين وفتح اللام - بن عامر ولقمان بن عامر. وهو مُقِلٌّ، حديثه عالٍ في الشُّريحيّة (¬٤)، ذكره ابن حِبَّان في الثقات،وقدَّم ابن عمرو، وثنَّى بابن عامر، وثلَّث بإسماعيل، وذكره أحمد العجليّ في ثقاته، فقال: أوسط البجليّ شاميٌّ تابعيٌّ ثقة من كبار التابعين. قال في الكاشف: شيخٌ.
