٥٨٧ - س ق: أُميّة بن عبد الله بن خالد بن أسيد - بفتح الهمزة وكسر السين - ابن أبي العِيْص الأمويّ المكيّ. عن عُمَر (¬١). وعنه عبد الله بن أبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن، والزُّهريّ، وعطية بن قيس وآخرون. ولِيَ خُراسان لعبد الملك. وثَّقه أحمد العجليّ كما رأيته فيها. وذكره ابن حِبَّان في ثقاته كما رأيته فيها أيضًا، وقال: ماتَ في طاعون الفتيات سنة (٨٦) قال: وإنما سُمِّي طاعون الفتيات؛ لأنّه وقع في النساء، فبدأ بهنّ مدة، ثم في الرِّجال، انتهى.وفي التذهيب: مات سنة (٨٤) أو سنة (٨٧) (¬١)، وفي الكاشف: سنة نَيِّف وثمانين.
