    ٤٥٠ - س ق: إسماعيل بن حفص بن عمر الأُبُلّيّ -بضم الهمزةوبالموحدة - أبو بكر البصري. عن أبيه ومعتمر بن سليمان وأبي بكر بن عيَّاش، والوليد بن مسلم وغيرهم. وعنه "س، ق" وابن أبي عاصم وابن خُزيمة وطائفة. ذكره ابن حِبَّان في الثقات، وقال: وهو الذي يقال له: إسماعيل بن حفص بن ميمون، مات سنة (٢٥٦) (¬١) أو قبلها بقليل أو بعدها بقليل. وفي الميزان: قال أبو حاتم: لا بأس به (¬٢)، وقال الساجي: هو ابن حفص بن عمر بن ميمون الأبُلِّي أحسبه لحقه ضعف أبيه (¬٣).
