٨٩ - م ت س: أحمد بن عُثمان بن عبد النُّور بن عبد اللّه بن سِنَان أبو عُثْمان النَّوفَلِيّ البَصْرِيّ، ويُعْرَف بأبى الجَوْزَاء: بِالجِيم والزَّاي مَمْدُود. عن أزْهَر السَّمَّان، وقُرَيش بن أَنَس، ووَهْب بن جَرِير وطبقتهم. وعنه م، ت، س، وابن أبى عَاصِم وعُمر البُجَيْرِيّ وابن خُزَيْمَة وابن جَرِير وجَمَاعَةٌ. قال أبو حَاتِم: ثِقَةٌ رِضًا انتهى وهو من نُسَّاك أهل البَصْرة، وفي الصُّغْرَى للنَّسَائي: هو بصْرِيٌّ وفي بعض النّسَخ: وهو ثِقَةٌ (¬١)، وقَال ابن عَسَاكر في النَّبل: رَوَى عنه س، وقال: لا بَأسَ به انتهى توفي سَنَة (٢٤٦).
