[٧٩٥٣/ ٦٨٨٧] (م د س ق) يحيى بن عُقيل - بضم العين المهملة، وفتح القاف - الخزاعي، بصري نزل مرو. عن: عمران بن حصين - بضم الحاء، وفتح الصاد المهملتين، وقد تقدم مرارًا أن الأسماء بالضمفي الحاء وفتح الصاد المهملتين إلا حُضين بن المنذر أبا ساسان فإنه بالضاد المعجمة وهو فرد، وأن الكنى بالفتح إذا كانت مجردة عن الألف واللام -، وابن أبي أوفى وأنس، ويحيى بن يعمر قاضي مرو. وعنه: واصل مولى أبى عيينة، ومنصور بن زاذان، وعَزْرة بن ثابت، وسُليمان التيمي، والحسين ابن واقد، وعبد المؤمن بن خالد قاضيا مرو، وجماعة. قال ابن معين: ليس به بأس. وذكره ابن حبان في "ثقاته".
