[٧٨٨٧/ ٦٨٢٩] (ق) يحيى بن زياد الأسدى مولاهم الرَّقى فُهير. عن: موسى بن وردان، وابن جُريج، وخليد بن دعلج، وجماعة. وعنه: أبو يوسف محمد بن أحمد الصيدلاني، وداود بن رُشيد، وأيوب الوزان، وجماعة ذكره ابن حبان في "ثقاته"، وقال: يحيى بن زياد بن أبي داود مولى بنى [الصداق] (*). مات بعد (٢٠٠) انتهى. وقال بعض من سمع منه: كان من الأبدال. قال أبو على محمد بن سعيد: مات بعد (٢٠٠).
