    [٧٦٦٤] (تمييز) الهيثم بن خالد بن يزيد الأموى - بفتح الهمزة وتضم لغتان وقد تقدمتا مرارًا - مولاهم الهروى الأصل المصيصى وقد تقدم مرارًا أن المصيصة بكسر الميم وكسر الصاد المهملة الأولى المشددة ويجوز فتح الميم وكسر الصاد الأولى مخفَفة نزيل بغداد. عن: أبيه، وحجاج بن محمد وأبي اليمان، وطائفة. وعنه: الباغندى، وابن صاعد، المحاملي وأخوه القاسم، وعلى بن أحمد بن علي المصيصى الوراق وغيرهم. ذكره في "الميزان" فقال: قال الدارقطني: ضعيف انتهى.
