[٧٦٣٨]- (تمييز) هلال بن أبي زينب مولى قريش. عن: شهر بن حوشب. وعنه: ابن عون، تفرد بالرواية عنه. انتهى. سيأتي فيه تعقيب في ترجمة هلال من على وهو صحيح. وفى الثقات لابن حبان، ولم يذكر عنه راويًا سوى عبد الله بن عون انتهى. حديثه: "لا يجف دم الشهيد" ذكره في "الميزان".فقال: قال أحمد بن حنبل: تركوه، ثم قال: قلت: لا يعرف، تفرد عنه ابن عون له حديث في الشهداء. أخرجه أحمد في مسنده عن شهر عن أبي هريرة ﵁ انتهى. والحديث قد رواه ابن ماجه فقط عن أبي بكر بن أبي شيبة عن ابن عدى عن ابن عون عن هلال بن أبي زينب عن شهر به والله أعلم.
