    [٧٢٨٤]- (تمييز) موسى بن عبد الرحمن بن مهدي. يروى عن: أبيه، عن حماد بن زيد، قال أيوب: لو جئت حتى ننظر في شيء من الرأى قال:قلت: نعم. قال: فسكت سكتة ثم قال: قيل للحمار ما لك لا تجتر؟ قال: أكره مضغ الباطل، حدثنيه شكر ثنا أبو زرعة الدمشقى عبد الرحمن بن عمرو ثنا محمد بن ينبويه، ثنا موسى بن عبد الرحمن، قاله ابن حبان في "ثقاته". وذكره في "الميزان" فقال: قال ابن عدى في "كامله" لا يروى عنه من الحديث إلا القليل، ثم ذكر عنه حديثًا في تسبيح الطعام، وقال عَقِبه: لا يُعرف من حديث الثورى إلا من هذا الوجه إنما يُعرف بإسرائيل عن منصور … ثم قال الذهبي في "ميزانه": قلت وهو مخرج في الصحيح.
