[٧٠٨٨/ ١٦٠٩٦]- (د) معقل - كالذي قبله - وقيل: زهير بن معقل. عن: على ﵁. وعنه: محمد بن أبى إسماعيل الكوفى. في "الثقات" لابن حبان ولفظه: معقل - الخثعمى يروى عن: على بن أبى طالب. روى عنه محمد بن أبي إسماعيل انتهى. قال أبو حاتم: الأصح معقل. ذكره في "الميزان" فقال: معقل الخثعمي عن على بن أبي طالب، لا يُعرف وحدث عنه محمد ابن أبى إسماعيل انتهى.
