    [٧٠٣٣/ ٦٠٤٩] (م د س) معاوية بن الحكم السلمى صحابى مشهور، وغلط من قال: عُمر بن الحكم. له أحاديث. وعنه ابنه كثير - بفتح الكاف وكسر المثلثة -، وعطاء بن يسار، وأبو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن، وأصل حديثه واحد وفُرق فجعل أحاديث. وقد روى عنه ابنه كثير حديثًا آخر قال: كنا مع النبي [فأنزى] (*) على بن الحكم أخى فرسه خندقًا فقصرت الفرس، فدق جدار الخندق ساقه فأتينا النبي ﷺ فمسح ساقه، فما نزل عنها حتى برئ فقال معاوية بن الحكم في قصيدة له قد أنشد منها أبو عُمر أربعة أبيات في استيعابه [] (**).
