[٦٩٤١/ ٥٩٦١] (د) مسلمة بن محمد الثقفي، بصري. عن: داود بن أبي هند، وخالد الحذاء، وجماعة. وعنه: مسدد، وأحمد بن عُمر القصبي. قال ابن معين: ليس حديثه بشيء. وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات". ذكره في "الميزان" فذكر فيه قول ابن معين. وقال أبو داود: حدثنا عنه مسدد: أحاديثه مستقيمة. وقال أبو عبيد الآجري: فقلت لأبي داود: حدث عن هشام بن عروة، عن أبيه، عن عائشة ﵂: "إياكم والزَّنج فإنه خلق مشوّه" فقال: من حدث بهذا؟ فاتهمه. وقال أبو حاتم: يُكتب حديثه.
