[٦٣٩١/ ٥٤٨٠]- (تمييز) محمد بن علي بن حمزة بن الحسن الهاشمي العلوى البغدادي. عن: أبيه، وعُمر بن شبة، والرياشي، وأبي عثمان المازني، وغيرهم. وعنه: ابن أبي حاتم، ومحمد بن مخلد، ومحمد بن عبد الملك التأريخي، وعُمر بن الحسن الأشناني القاضي، وآخرون. وثقه ابن أبي حاتم.وقال الخطيب البغدادى: كان أحد الشعراء الأدباء العلماء برواية الأشعار. وقال محمد بن مخلد: توفى سنة (٢٨٦).
