[٦٠٧٢/ ٥٢٣٨] (خ م ت س ق) محمد بن سعد بن أبي وقاص الزهري أبو القاسم المدني. عن: النبي ﷺ مرسلًا، وعن: أبيه، وعثمان، وأبي الدرداء. وعنه: ابناه إبراهيم، وإسماعيل، ويونس بن جُبير، وعبد الحميد بن عبد الرحمن بن زيد بن الخطاب، وأبو إسحاق السبيعي، وجماعة. قتله الحجاجُ مع القراء. وثقه غير واحد، وذكر أحمد العجلي في "ثقاته"، وكذا ذكره ابن حبان في ثقاته، وقال قتله الحجاج صبرا، وكذلك أخاه عُمر قتله.
