[٥٧٦٣/ ٤٩٩٥]- (د) كليب الجهنى ويقال الحضرمى أبو كثير - بفتح الكاف وكسر المثلثة - جد عُثيم - بضم العين المهملة ثم ثاء مثلثة مفتوحة والباقي معروف - ابن كثير - بفتح الكاف وكسر المثلثة وقد تقدم قريبًا - معدود في الصحابة. روى عثيم عن: أبيه عن جده ثلاثة أحاديث أحدها عند أبي داود "ألق عنك شعر الكفر واختتن" وقد رأيت بخط الحافظ فتح الدين بن سيد الناس ما لفظه: كليب الجهني أبو كثير عن النبي ﷺ "الأكبر من الإخوة بمنزله الأب" ذكره ابن أبي خيثمة. انتهى هكذا رأيته بخطه مبكرًا وقد ذكره أبو عُمر في "الاستيعاب" مصغرًا وكذا الذهبي في "تجريده" وغيره.
