[٤٩٠٤/ ٤١٩٩] (س) عُمر بن إبراهيم بن سليمان الحافظ، أبو بكر البغدادي، أبو الآذان. عن: أبي كُريب، وإسماعيل بن مسعود الجحدري، وعلى بن شعيب السمسار، وغيرهم. وعنه: (س) وهو من أقرانه، وحاجب بن أركين، وابن عُقدة، وعبد الباقي بن قانع، وسليمان بن أحمد الطبراني، وآخرون. وثقه (س)، والخطيب. قال أبو بكر الإسماعيلى: يحكى أنه طالت خصومة بينه وبين يهودى أو غيره فقال له أدخل يدك ويدى فى النار فمن كان محقاً لا يحترق فذكر أن يده لم تحترق واحترقت يدُ اليهودي. قال أبو الحسين بن المنادى، وابن قانع: مات بسامراء في المحرم سنة (٢٩٠). زاد ابن قانع: وله (٦٣) سنة.
