[٤٧٢٥/ ٤٠٤٩] (د ق) علي بن الحسين بن إبراهيم بن الحر بن زعلان - بفتح الزاي وإسكان الغين المعجمة ثم لام ألف ثم نون (*) - أبو الحسن العامري البغدادي ابن إشكاب وهو لقب أبيه. عنه: أبي معاوية، وابن علية، وعمر بن يونس، وعلي بن عاصم، وطبقتهم. وعنه: (د)، (ق)، وأبو بكر بن أبي عاصم، وأبو العباس بن سريج - بالسين المهملة والجيم - القاضي الشافعي، وعبد الرحمن بن أبي حاتم، وآخرون. وثقه (س) وغيره. قال ابن مخلد: توفي لأربع بقين من شوال سنة (٢٦١). قال الذهبي في "زياداته على التهذيب": وفيها مات أخوه محمد يوم عاشوراء.
