[٤٧١٠/ ٤٠٤١] (م ق) علي بن الحسن بن سليمان الحضرمي الأدمي، أبو الشعثاء ويكنى أبا الحسين. عن: عيسى بن يونس، وأبي بكر بن عياش، وعبد السلام بن حرب، وطبقتهم. وعنه: (خ)، وبقي بن مخلد، وصالح جزرة، والحسن بن سفيان، وآخرون. وثقه أبو داود. وقال بحشل - بفتح الموحدة ثم حاء مهملة ساكنة ثم شين معجمة مفتوحة ثم لام وقد تقدم ضبطه غير مرة وأنه أحمد بن عبد الرحمن بن وهب - في "تاريخ واسط": مات في آخر سنة (٢٣٤).
