[٤٦٩٧/ ٤٠٢٩] (س) علي بن بكار، أبو الحسن البصري الزاهد نزيل المصيصة مرابطًا وصاحب إبراهيم بن أدهم. روى عن: ابن عون، ومحمد بن عمرو بن علقمة، وهشام بن حسان، وحسين المعلم، والأوزاعي، وطائفة. وعنه: المسيب بن واضح، وهناد بن السري، وسلمة بن شبيب، وآخرون. وقال بعضهم بكى علي بن بكار حتى عمي وأثرت الدموع في خديه. وقال موسى بن طريف: كانت الجارية تفرش له فيلمه بيده ويقول: والله إنك لطيب وإنك لبارد والله لا علوتك الليلة، وكان يصلي الفجر بوضوء العتمة. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" قال ابن معين: مات سنة (٢٠٧). وقال غيره: سنة (١٩٩)، والأول أصح، وكان من العلماء العاملين من أصحاب الكرامات المأثورة.
