[٤٦٨٣/ ٤٠١٤] (٤) علقمة بن عبد الله المزني البصري. عن: أبيه، وابن عمر، ومعقل بن يسار. وعنه: بكر بن عبد الله المزني فيقال: هو أخوه، وفضاء - بفتح الفاء وبالضاد المعجمة. ممدود -، وحُميد، وعوف الأعرابي، وأبو عمران الجوني، وطائفة. وثقه ابن المديني والنسائي. وذكره ابن حبان في "ثقاته" فقال: علقمة بن عبد الله بن عمرو بن هلال المزني أخو بكر بن عبد الله. مات في سنة (١٠٠) في خلافة عمر بن عبد العزيز انتهى.
