[٤٥٨١/ ٣٩١٦] (س) العُريان بن الهيثم بن الأسود بن قيس النخعى الكوفي الأعور أحد الأشراف ولى الشرطة بالكوفة مدة. وروى عن: أبيه، ومعاوية، وعبد الله بن عَمرو، وقبيصة بن جابر. وعنه: عبد الملك بن عُمير، وعبد الله بن مُضارب، وعلى بن زيد بن جدعان وآخرون. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، قال ابن سعد: كان من رجال مذحج وأشرافهم المذكورين، ولى الشرط لخالد بن عبد الله القسرى بالكوفة.
