[٤٥١٦/ ٣٨٥٠] (س) عثمان بن عمرو بن ساج القرشي الجزري، أبو ساج مولى بني أمية وقد ينسب إلى جده. عن: عطاء بن أبي رباح، والزهري مرسلًا، وعن سهيل بن أبي صالح، وإسماعيل بن أمية، وموسى بن عقبة، وجعفر الصادق، وطائفة. وعنه: سعيد بن سالم القداح، وأكثر، ومحمد بن عبد الكريم الحويطبي، ومحمد بن يزيد بن سنان، وغيرهم. نزل حران وكان قاضيًا. قال أبو حاتم: يكتب حديثه هو وأخوه الوليد ولا يحتج بهما. وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، ذكره في "الميزان" فذكر فيه كلام أبي حاتم فقال قال أبو حاتم: لا يحتج به. وذكره في "الميزان" أيضًا في عثمان بن ساج فقال: سيأتي وهو مقارب الحديث.
