[٤٥٠٩/ ٣٨٤٣] (ت) عثمان بن عُبيد، أبو دوس اليحصبي - وقد تقدم أن يحصب مثلثة الصاد، وأما في النسب فتفتح الصاد فقط كتغلب في النسب إلا في اللغات الثلاث، فإنه ليس في تغلب إلا الكسر - الشامي - بالشين المعجمة -. عن: خالد بن معدان، وعبد الرحمن بن عايذ - بالمثناة تحت والذال المعجمة -، وشريح - بالشين المعجمة والحاء المهملة - ابن عُبيد. وعنه: عُفير - بالعين المهملة المضمومة - ابن معدان، وأبو مغيرة الخولاني، وأبو نعيم، وجماعة. قال أبو حاتم: ما أرى به بأسًا، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات".
