[٤٤٥٢/ ٣٧٨٤] (د س) عتبة بن محمد بن الحارث بن نوفل الهاشمي، ويقال: عقبة. عن: عمه عبد الله بن الحارث، وابن عباس، وعبد الله بن جعفر. وعنه: مصعب بن شيبة، وابن جريج، وعبد الله بن مسافع بن شيبة، على خلاف فيه. قال ابن عيينة: أدركته. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، ذكره في "الميزان"، فقال: عتبة بن محمد بن الحارث بن نوفل، وقيل عقبة له عن عبد الله بن جعفر وعنه مصعب بن شيبة. قال النسائي: ليس بمعروف انتهى. وقد تقدم أنه روى عنه جماعة، ووثقه ابن حبان، والله أعلم.
