[٤٣٣٥] (تمييز) عبيد الله بن عُمر بن الخطاب. وُلد على عهد رسول الله ﷺ. قال ابن عبد البر في "الاستيعاب": ولا أحفظ له رواية عنه، ولا سماعًا منه، وكان من أنجاد قريش وفرسانهم وهو القائل: أنا عُبيد الله ينميني عُمر … خيرُ قريش من مضى ومن غبر حاشا نبي الله والشيخ الأغر قُتل عُبيد الله بصفين مع معاوية وكان على الخيل يومئذ ورثاه أبو زُبيد الطائي، وقصته في قتل الهرمزان وحفينة وبنت أبى لؤلؤة فيها اضطراب. إلى آخر كلام أبي عُمر فيه انتهى. وصفين سنة (٣٧)، وقد زرت قبراً خارج حمص عند خالد بن الوليد قالوا هذا قبر عبيد الله بن عمر ﵁، وعن أبيه.
