[٤٠٥٦/ ٣٩٩٤] (ع) عبد الرحمن بن يزيد بن قيس النخعي أبو بكر الكوفي. عن: عمه، وعلقمة، وأخيه الأسود. وعن: عثمان (م)، وسلمان وابن مسعود (ع)، وحذيفة، وأبي مسعود، وأبي موسى. وعنه: ابنه محمد، وإبراهيم النخعي، والشعبي، وعُمارة بن عُمير، وسلمة بن كهيل، ومنصور، وآخرون. وثقه ابن معين وغيره. قال يحيى بن بكير: مات سنة (٧٣). وقال ابن سعد: مات في ولاية الحجاج قبل الجماجم. وقال الفلاس: في الجماجم سنة (٨٣).
