[٤٠٢٢/ ٣٩٦٣] (د) عبد الرحمن بن مَعْقِل - بالعين المهملة، والقاف - بن مقرِّن - بكسر الراء المشددة وضم الميم - أبو عاصم المزني الكوفي، أخو عبد الله. عن: على، وابن عباس، وغيرهما. وعنه: عُبيد أبو الحسن، وعبد الله بن خالد العبسي - بالموحدة - الكوفى، وغيرهما. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات". كذا في "التذهيب" والظاهر أنه في أصله ولم أره أنا في ترتيب شيخنا الهيثمي لثقات ابن حبان وكأنه سقط من الناسخ وقد رأيت فيها عبد الله بن خالد العبسي لكوفى وقال في ترجمته: يروى عن عبد الرحمن بن معقل بن مقرن المزنى والله أعلم.* عبد الرحمن بن معن إنما هو ابن مغراء.
