[٣٩٦٤/ ٣٩٠٩] (د ق) عبد الرحمن بن أبى عقبة الفارسى المدني، مولى الأنصار، وقيل: مولي بني هاشم. عن: أبيه، وله صحبة. وعنه: داود بن الحُصين. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، ولفظ ابن حبان: عبد الرحمن بن أبي عقبة مولى جابر بن عتيك الأنصارى. يروى المراسيل. روى عنه: محمد بن يحيى بن حبان، وداود بن الحُصين انتهى. وذكره في "الميزان"، فقال: ما روى عنه سوى داود بن الحُصين انتهى. وقد قال ابن حبان ما قدمته، فخرج بكلام ابن حبان عن جهالة العين، وقد وثقه واحد فخرج عن جهالة الحال والذهبى جهل عينه والله أعلم.
