[٣٩٣٨/ ٣٨٨٤] (د س) عبد الرحمن بن عبد الحميد بن سالم المهرى مولاهم المصرى، أبو رجاء خال ابن السرح. عن: أبي هانئ حميد بن هانئ، وعُقيل - بضم العين، وفتح القاف - ابن خالد، وأبي حزرة - بفتح الحاء المهملة، ثم زاى ساكنة، ثم راء مفتوحة، ثم تاء التأنيث - يعقوب بن مجاهد، وجماعة. وعنه: ابن أخته أحمد بن عمرو بن السرح، وابن وهب - وهو من أقرانه -، وهارون بن معروف. وثقه أبو داود السجستاني. ذكره في "الميزان" وذكر توثيق أبى داود له، ثم قال: وقال ابن يونس: أحاديثه مضطربة انتهى. قال أبو عُمر الكندى: مات سنة (١٩٢)، وكان من أهل الفضل بمصر.
