[٣٠٨٢/ ٣١٣٢] (ق) عباس بن عثمان البجلي، أبو الفضل الدمشقى المعلم.عن: إسماعيل بن عياش، وعراك بن خالد، والوليد بن مسلم، وغيرهم. وعنه: (ق)، وأحمد بن على الأبار، والحسن بن سفيان، وجماعة. وثقه أبو الحسن بن سميع. وقال أحمد بن أبى الحوارى: سمعت الوليد بن مسلم يقول: احفظوني في عباس فإن لي فراسة. ذكره ابن حبان فى "الثقات" وقال: مات سنة (٢٣٩) ربما خالف. قال أبو زرعة: مات سنة -فذكر كما ذكرته عن ابن حبان-.
